David Akers
President & CEO

David has been with ML Sound for 27 years, guiding the company from a small local reinforcement sound company to a nationally recognized live audio service company and audio-visual integrator. David started as a performer and migrated into production support in the late 1980’s after being sought after to offer his expertise and work ethic to various artists and promoters throughout the Southeast.

In the early 1990’s, David began working with houses of worship to help them obtain a more professional sound and focused path to deliver their messages by beginning the AV Integration department at M&L.

In his spare time David enjoys playing music and sports. David is the father of a son and daughter who are also active in music and sports.

Justin Slazas
Account Manager


Justin brings over 20 years of experience working in the pro audio industry, and specializes in designing, implementing, and operating audio systems for live events.
 
Justin has worked with some of the most recognized production companies in the world and brings with him the highest standards in the industry to ML Sound.

Lawrence Bricknell
Contracting Manager


Lawrence joins ML Sound with over 25 years of hands-on experience in the audio and audio-visual contracting industry. With an affinity for all things technical, Lawrence thrives in the convergence of AV and IT and enjoys engineering systems using digital audio hardware.

As manager of our Contracting Division, Lawrence is responsible for solutions engineering, preparation of budgets and proposals, project management, and on-site servicing & maintenance of your systems.

Jared Webster
Sales Engineer


Jared has over 15 years of experience in live audio, as well as over 15 years service as a worship leader. He attended Lee University studying church music and also worked with Lee’s live production crew while there.

He not only brings experience in production, but also experience in understanding what churches need. Jared loves taking his passions for AV and for worship and using them to help church ministries thrive.

Mark Lewis
Operations Manager


Mark Lewis brings over 30 years of touring to our Live Division. 5 passports and many rock bands later, this seasoned veteran decided to settle down at ML Sound to take on a new role as our Operations Manager. Motorhead, Papa Roach, Danzig, Type O Negative, Fear Factory, and Jackyl are just a few of the bands that have kept him on the road.
